Food traceability

Food should prove where it comes from.

Illegal fishing and seafood fraud hide where nobody can check the supply chain. That is why EU rules now require every lot of fish and seafood to be traceable, with its data passed on digitally. We are building tooru so every claim about food can be traced to the business that made it.

With tooru, every product gets a passport behind its QR code. Each statement from farm to shelf is recorded with who made it, digitally signed and timestamped, and its fingerprint goes on our own blockchain, which we run ourselves. Scan the code and you see the journey and what backs it. Importers see which EU rules apply and what is still missing.

We start with organic farmed shrimp from Vietnam, together with an Austrian seafood company. Seafood is only the beginning: the EU is bringing digital product passports to more and more product groups, and we are building tooru so every product can have one. tooru is built API first, with an MCP server, so supply chain partners can let their own AI agents do the data work.

In development in Austria. First pilot in preparation. Next, every day one fingerprint of all records goes onto a public blockchain, so any later change becomes visible.
